Our trips to the muskegs!

Muskegs—those quiet, spongy wetlands scattered across the northern landscape—are more than just beautiful. They are natural firebreaks, holding moisture deep within their layers and slowing the spread of wildfires. In a time of increasing climate volatility, intact muskegs offer a powerful form of protection, buffering communities and ecosystems from the impacts of fire.

As part of our efforts to raise awareness about the importance of keeping muskegs intact, we’ve created a postcard campaign featuring images that showcase the importance of muskegs. These postcards are meant to be shared—sent to friends, family, decision-makers, and anyone who cares about the land. Each one carries a message: that muskegs matter, and that protecting them is an act of care for the future.
